Token was an original theatrical production produced as part of the 2010–2011 Honors Performance Series at McMaster University. The Honors Performance Series tasks upper-year students with writing, directing, and producing their own original theatrical work. Token was written & directed by Nicole Chacra, Jenn Helsdon, & Maddie Zekkou.

Token, a story told from the perspective of the ever-popular straight white male lead, examines the idea of tokenism—the presence of members of a minority group within media solely for the purpose of creating the illusion of inclusivity—who often have no function in the overall plot and are often a stereotyped character.
